Sunderland Under-21s have been drawn against Accrington Stanley, Sheffield Wednesday and Salford City in the EFL Trophy group stage this season.
Manager Matt Craddock's side will begin their campaign at the WHAM Stadium against Accrington Stanley on Tuesday 22 September, with kick-off at 7pm.
The young Lads travel to Hillsborough Stadium to face League One side Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday 6 October, also at 7pm.
Their final group fixture takes place on Tuesday 10 November when they host fourth-tier outfit Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium, with kick-off at 7pm.
