Sunderland midfielder Enzo Le Fée has set his sights on becoming one of the best players in his position following an impressive pre-season performance against Liverpool at Geodis Park in Tennessee.
Le Fée scored a long-range strike with his left foot during the match, which Sunderland lost 4–2. Speaking after the game, the midfielder outlined his ambitions for the campaign ahead.
Le Fée's Ambitions
"I like to be in the middle, have the ball and control the tempo," Le Fée said. "I want to be one of the best players in this position but I have to work even more than I already do."
The midfielder has played consistently in a central role since the end of last season. He credited the tough conditions in Tennessee with providing valuable preparation for the season ahead.
Wider Team Performance
Timur Tutierov also scored for Sunderland in the second half. Manager Régis Le Bris saw encouraging performances from younger players throughout both halves of the friendly.
