Sunderland AFC has highlighted four players worth considering for Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of the 2026-27 season. The Black Cats qualified for the Europa League after securing a seventh-place finish last season, and several squad members offer potential across defence, midfield and attack.
With opening fixtures against Ipswich Town, Fulham and Brentford coming up, Sunderland has identified players who could help managers get their campaigns off to a strong start.
Enzo Le Fée – Midfielder (£6.0m)
Midfielder Enzo Le Fée has been highlighted as a key option for FPL managers. The Frenchman scored five goals and provided six assists in the Premier League last season while operating as a number 10 behind striker Brian Brobbey.
Le Fée impressed during pre-season, including a strike against Liverpool. His involvement in set pieces adds to his appeal, with corners, direct free-kicks and penalties providing additional scoring routes. Currently selected by fewer than 12% of managers, he is positioned as a potential standout midfield option.
Brian Brobbey – Forward (£6.0m)
Striker Brian Brobbey scored seven Premier League goals and registered one assist last term despite only joining the club midway through the campaign. He has carried strong form into the summer after scoring three goals for the Netherlands at the FIFA World Cup.
Capable of scoring from inside the box, in transition and in the air, Brobbey is expected to be Sunderland's main attacking focal point in 2026-27. He remains owned by around 15% of FPL managers.
Nordi Mukiele – Defender (£5.5m)
Nordi Mukiele was Sunderland's highest-scoring FPL player last season, and his price has increased for the new campaign. At £5.5m, he still represents value, offering versatility at centre-back or right-back.
Mukiele carries an attacking threat from defence and has already opened his account during pre-season, scoring in Sunderland's victory over Wrexham.
Dan Ballard – Defender (£5.0m)
Centre-back Dan Ballard collected 116 points last season, scoring twice and adding two assists. The defender continues to establish himself as one of Sunderland's most reliable performers, with his aerial presence contributing to his FPL output.
