Wilson Isidor has returned to Sunderland AFC's pre-season training in Nashville with increased ambition following a memorable summer representing Haiti at the FIFA World Cup in the United States.
The 25-year-old forward scored six Premier League goals in his first season with the Black Cats and played a key role in securing Europa League qualification. During the World Cup, Isidor scored a goal against Morocco that was nominated for Goal of the Tournament — a moment he described as giving pride to the Haitian people.
Isidor has now joined manager Régis Le Bris' squad in Nashville ahead of Saturday's friendly against Liverpool at Geodis Park. The striker said he wants to score more than six goals this season and believes Sunderland can build on last year's achievements with their quality and supporters behind them.
