Sunderland AFC has confirmed the schedule for releasing European football content following the club's return to continental competition, marking a historic moment for supporters.
Two-minute highlights from Sunderland's Europa League fixtures will be published on the club's official YouTube channel from 11pm BST on Friday. This timing reflects broadcast rights restrictions that prevent match footage from being published until 24 hours after the conclusion of the relevant matchweek.
Why extended highlights are unavailable
Under current rights arrangements, Sunderland can publish a maximum of two minutes of match content on YouTube. This restriction is indefinite, meaning extended highlights will not be available on the club's YouTube channel.
Access All Areas and behind-the-scenes content
The popular Access All Areas series is also subject to the same rights restrictions. Sunderland continues to share exclusive content across its social channels within the limits allowed by its broadcast agreements.
Extended replays for Black Cats Members
Extended and full-match replays of Sunderland's European fixtures will be available to Black Cats Members from 11pm BST on Saturday. Supporters are encouraged to ensure they are signed up to Black Cats Membership to access this exclusive content, alongside other benefits and experiences throughout the season.
