Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris has confirmed the club will take a cautious approach with defenders Omar Alderete and Nordi Mukiele following Saturday's 2-0 win over RC Lens.
Mukiele was forced off during the second half of Sunderland's fixture against Wrexham in the USA. Alderete has not featured since sustaining an injury while on international duty with Paraguay at the FIFA World Cup.
Le Bris on recovery
Le Bris said after the match: "Omar and Nordi have minor injuries. It's important we take care of them before the start of the season.
"They should be available for the beginning of the season, but we have a long campaign coming up, so it's important we take care of all of our players."
