Sunderland AFC has issued detailed guidance for the 1,861 supporters travelling to Poland for the UEFA Europa League fixture against Lech Poznan on Thursday 22 October at the Enea Stadion.
The club has confirmed that arrangements for this match differ significantly from previous European away trips. Tickets are paper-only and must be collected in person in Poznań, and all supporters must travel to and from the stadium on official supporter coaches provided by the club.
Ticket Collection
Supporters must collect their ticket in person with a valid passport. There are no digital or PDF tickets available for this fixture.
Tickets can be collected from the Monte Carlo suite at the Andersia Hotel, Pl. Władysława Andersa 3, 61-894 Poznań, on Wednesday 21 October from 10am to 6pm local time, and Thursday 22 October from 10am to 3.30pm local time. Collection closes at 3.30pm on matchday.
The name on the ticket must match the passport presented at collection and may be checked at the turnstile. Supporters should check their passport now — it must have been issued within the last 10 years and remain valid for at least 3 months after leaving the EU. Tickets and passports should be kept together.
Official Coach Travel
Local authorities in Poznań have required all Sunderland supporters to travel to and from the stadium on official supporter coaches. The cost is included in the ticket price, with coaches dropping supporters directly outside the away turnstiles.
The pick-up point is Aleje Marcinkowskiego 9, near the National Museum in Poznań. Supporters should arrive by 3.30pm local time, with coaches departing between 4pm and 4.30pm. A coach ticket will be issued when the match ticket is collected and will be needed for both journeys.
After the final whistle, the same coaches will return supporters to Aleje Marcinkowskiego 9 following a 30-minute post-match holdback. Sixteen coaches will run, with Sunderland AFC's Fan Engagement and stewarding teams present at the pick-up point.
The club recommends spending the afternoon around the Old Market Square (Stary Rynek), a short walk from the pick-up point, after collecting tickets.
Matchday Information
Kick-off is 6.45pm local time (5.45pm UK time). Poland is one hour ahead of the UK. Turnstiles open two hours before kick-off, at 4.45pm local time. Supporters should expect a ticket check and bag search.
Alcohol, soft drinks and food will be sold inside the stadium. Payment can be made by cash or card in Polish złoty (PLN), not euros.
Flags up to 3m x 2m are allowed if they carry no political, discriminatory or offensive messaging. Flagpoles, drums, megaphones, umbrellas, bottles and cans are not permitted.
Any changes to matchday arrangements will be communicated first through the club's Fan Information WhatsApp channel.
Support in Poznań
Sunderland AFC's Fan Engagement, Ticketing, Disability Access and stewarding teams will be in Poznań throughout the trip. A ticket hub will be located next to the away turnstiles for supporters with ticket issues.
