Sunderland AFC Women has completed the signing of Belgium international Kassandra Missipo on a two-year contract until the summer of 2028.
The 28-year-old midfielder arrives at the Stadium of Light with extensive international experience. Missipo has earned more than 60 caps for Belgium since making her debut in 2016 and was part of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of UEFA Women's EURO 2022. She also played a key role in Belgium's qualification for EURO 2025, featuring in both legs of the play-off final against Ukraine.
Club Career
At club level, Missipo has enjoyed success in Belgium and Switzerland and gained experience in Italy's Serie A with Sassuolo. During her time with Gent, she was named the Super League's best player in 2019.
